How does Alex react to the films he sees? Why? What is surprising or unusual about this?

Students should note Alex's sickened responses to the films of violence, but they should also make the connection between the films he watches and the violence we saw him commit in Part One. We know Alex has beaten people, raped people, and even killed them. It's also noteworthy that he doesn't seem to respond very differently to the violent acts like those he committed and the war crimes films he's shown. Readers should note that Alex has been given a drug that makes him sick right before seeing violent films and that Brodsky and his colleagues are creating an association.
