    Creative Writing

    Objective:

    Students will use close reading skills to create a journalistic article set in Alex's world

    Structure:

    Draw students' attention back to Chapter 4, in which Alex reads a newspaper article lamenting the state of Modern Youth, seeing himself reflected in it. He might now be considered even more a part of the problem that the journalist identified. How do students think Alex's crime(s) might be covered in a newspaper in the world of the book?

    Before students begin to draft their work, ask them to think about the following:
