Nappily Ever After Irony

Nappily Ever After Irony

Hair

Violet dyes her hair blonde in an attempt to be a wild individuated woman. She goes out to the club, where she is picked up by a guy. Ironically, after going home with him she tries to be romantically wild with him, which is a complete blunder and not who she is.

Alarm

Violet sees Zoe (Will's daughter) shoplifting and stops her from stealing a dress. Ironically, she doesn't know that Zoe has another item she's stolen is in the girl's backpack and she gets stripped searched by security for trying to help the girl.

Long Live Red

Violet's ad pitch for the lipstick brand tells us that a woman won't be perfect unless she wears this lipstick. The irony is that Violet is selling the illusion of perfection that comes from external appearance. A belief she's lived by her entire life.

Going Back

Violet goes back to Clint in order to talk through their relationship with the hope of giving it another shot. Ironically, Clint has already slept with another woman and this reveals how he's already moved on leaving her behind.

Proposal

Violet believes that Clint will propose to her on her birthday. She even sees a ring box he's wrapped. Ironically, he hasn't gotten an engagement ring, but a collar for the new puppy he's gifted her on her birthday.
