    Answers will likely vary widely on this question. The aim of the question is to prompt students to evaluate the efficacy of the parts of the book that read like memoir. Students may find the stories about Kendi’s orange eyes in “Chapter 9: Color” most compelling because this chapter paints a clear picture of Kendi’s own colorism.
