Identifying Propaganda

Objective:
Students will be able to identify examples of propaganda.

Structure:
In this activity, students will learn what propaganda is and its defining characteristics. A simple definition of propaganda is any kind of media that intentionally tries to perpetuate a specific idea or ideology. In order to prepare for the activity, you will need to find several examples of visual media (i.e. advertisements, memes, Instagram posts, newspaper headlines, etc.) and put them in a slideshow.
