Room was written by Emma Donoghue and published in 2010. It was shortlisted for several awards, like the Man Booker Prize, the Orange Prize for Fiction, and the Governor General's Awards. It was an ALA Notable Book, a New York Times Notable Best Book of the Year, an Irish Book Awards winner for Best Irish Novel, and the Salon Book Award winner. It also went on to be a movie.
