Each time is true, but truths are not the same
In a world where there exist two times – mechanical and body time - people seem to live in two different realities. But the problem is, they have to choose only one: “they can make a world in either time, but not in both times” because otherwise they would live in two worlds simultaneously, and it is impossible. Transferring this idea into our everyday life, it must be noticed, that people often cannot choose one option, because they want both, but when it is impossible there is no other way out but choose something one. Like the truth must be one, our choice also must be one and only, no alternations, no cheating. we cannot choose two options and one truth, because it there exist two different options, there exist two different truths and it is always up to us to decide which one to choose.
Most people have learned how to live in the moment. The argument goes that if the past has uncertain effect on the present, there is no need to dwell on the past. And if the present has little effect on the future, present actions need not be weight for their consequence. Rather, each act is an island in time, to be judged on its own
When people live in a moment, they don’t care what was before and what will happen next, they just live, happy or sad, doing something important or just having fun, the only moment they are experiencing is important for them. But, on the other hand, it means that there is no connection between past, present, and future, each our action is like an island in time, states the narrator. So it means that we don’t have responsibility for what had happened before or what will happen next. Only the current moment matters. “Employees are hired not because of their résumés, but because of their good sense in interviews. Clerks trampled by their bosses fight back at each insult, with no fear for their future”.
If time and the passage of events are the same, then time moves barely at all. If time and events are not the same, then it is only people who barely move. If a person holds no ambitions in this world, he suffers unknowingly. If a person holds ambitions, he suffers knowingly, but slowly
Do people move the time or it is a time that moves people? What we move simultaneously? Then time is slowly, because then people are wasting their life (and time). People need a vehicle, a strong motivating to move them forward because otherwise they are suffering without even realizing this fact. But, on the other hand, as the narrator states, if they have ambitions, they are suffering as well, but know it. When we have some goal, we usually have a lot of difficulties which slow down our speed on a way to our goal and it makes us suffer, because we realize the fact that if we will fail this obstacle, we may never reach the goal. In other words – stupid are suffering without realizing it, and smart one are suffering twice more, because they know it.
Life is a vessel of sadness, but it is noble to live life, and without time there is no life
Our life is framed and measured by time, that is why people have to appreciate it – because it has an end. We don’t know exactly when will be our last day, so we have to live, enjoying every minute of our life, although sometimes it might be not so easy. People, who realize that life is not forever, try to organize their time in order to bring their dreams into reality, to travel, to love, to create and just to be happy because it is a great honor to live, to be brought in this world in order to leave something after us. Everything has its end, time is merciless and there is no life without time because it is the thing that gives the life meaning.
Time is too precious. A life is a moment in season. A life is one snowfall. A life is one autumn day. A life is a delicate, rapid edge of a closing door’s shadow. A life is a brief movement of arms and of legs
Why are we wasting our time? we know that it is precious and still we waste it. Each moment of our life is unique and we are not getting younger, unfortunately, we are just getting older. Life is too short to spend it on something you don’t like no matter if it’s a person, job or food. The meaning of life is to be happy, but people are too busy for happiness, they are just looking for something they don’t know and will never find out. The narrator’s point is to remind people that life is just a moment and we should make this moment unique and happy, because all we have is just a life and we can do with it whatever we want. Life is a movement but it is up to us to decide whether it is a moving forward of moving back. There is no more important thing in our life than time, and it is what the book is about. We are not able to stop the time but we can spend it with significance.
