Act Two, second half

Brick and Big Daddy are left alone. Big Daddy asks why Brick wiped his mouth after Maggie kissed him, then says that although Maggie is better-looking, Maggie and Mae are of a similar type. Brick says they are both like "cats on a hot tin roof." Big Daddy wonders why, and Brick says, directly, that both women want their husbands to inherit Big Daddy's wealth. Big Daddy says he won't let his wealth go, so it doesn't really matter. He notices Mae eavesdropping by the door even before Gooper walks by and gives her away.
