Director's Influence on Zombieland (2009 Film)

“Zombieland” is a funny, sometimes very funny film that has a smart script. This film is the first full-length feature film of Ruben Fleischer. This is a satire on zombie films, shot by Fleischer, who understands all the specifics and their appeal. Aside from the fact that this film is funny, it is rather straightforward. Dynamics, laughter, contrast – everything is in place. Moreover, the director fits the whole thing into a little less than an hour and a half film.

The history of creation here is quite interesting. Initially, the film was conceived as a TV series. Then it was created as a separate project. As a result, the film appeared in 2009, and Ruben Fleischer became the director of the film.

The young director pleasantly surprises with his first work “Zombieland”. Before his work, many pictures were shot about the invasion of zombies. But even now the film looks fresh and unusual. A relatively small budget helps to focus not on special effects, but on the development of the story. Fleischer very effectively declares himself with his first full-fledged directorial work and shoots just an amazing mixture of a bloody horror film and a brutal comedy action movie in one package.
