Zombieland is a zombie movie released on October 2, 2009 and was distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin.

The movie is set in a post apocalyptical world, where zombies have taken over and the survivors are seeking a sanctuary free of them. The main theme is that of survival and retaining one’s humanity. Instead of becoming one of the living corpses, the crew are desperate to continue living and saving others from a similar fate.

Moreover, one of the key themes is that of looking out for oneself. Initially, each of the characters is attempting to save themselves, but eventually, they form a family of sorts and protect each other. Moreover, Wichita is initially reluctant to form any kind of relationship with anyone other than her sister, as she fears losing anymore loved ones. However, in the end, it is the love she is surrounded by with her new family that allows her to keep on going.
