    Objective:

    Students will write clearly and effectively detailing an experience of their own that relates to one of Esmeralda's experiences.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.1, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.3, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.9-10.3

    Structure:

    Students will write out an experience from their life that relates to something Esmeralda experienced in the book. The idea is that they will think deeply about her experiences and how it relates to their own life experiences.
