Answer
Looking at closer objects causes more stress in extrinsic and intrinsic muscles because both of them have to work to allow a person to look at closer objects. The extrinsic muscle has to converge the eye, and the intrinsic muscle has to constrict the pupil and pull the lens into a more rounded shape. So it causes stress on both the muscles. Whereas for looking at far away objects, no muscles need to be stressed because the eye at rest is ideal for looking into far away objects.
