Answer
Light first enters through the cornea, and then it passes through the aqueous humor in the anterior chamber of the anterior segment of the eye. Then it passes through the pupil, and then it passes through the posterior chamber of the anterior segment, which also contains the aqueous humor. Then the light passes through the lens and gets focused on the retina. Between the lens and retina, it passes through the vitreous humor in the posterior cavity. Finally, the light rays hit the retina and excite the rods and cones.
