Irony of Domingo
Domingo was a gambler and he was not interested in his wife or family. His sole purpose of life was to remain indulge in gambling. His wife was a strong and a faithful woman and he had four daughters to look after, but the irony is that he did not care about them and made an attempt to sale the property of his wife. Fortunately, Sofia got to know about it and she exiled him from the family farm. It is also ironical that Domingo did not contact his family for the next twenty years and suddenly appeared before them after all these years and continued to live with Sofia.
Irony of Fe
It is ironical that Fe changed her job in order to make more money, but she lost her life. Fe was initially working in a bank but after her breakup with her fiancé, she fell prey to depression and then to nervous breakdown. It was a miracle that she survived it and married her cousin later on. After getting married, she started her job again but soon she left it for working in a factory. The factory was using dangerous chemicals to clean the parts of machinery. Fe suffered from cancer and eventually died because of continuously exposing herself to those life-threatening substances.
Irony of Caridad
Caridad was married to the love of her life, but he betrayed her. After knowing about his unfaithfulness, Caridad was heartbroken. She got indulged in sexual activities and surrounded herself by dangerous men and alcoholics. She was sexually and physically exploited by those men and one day she was found in a pathetic condition on the side of a road. Sofia consoled her daughter and La Loca helped her various times in abortion and in healing her. After the tragedy of Fe, Caridad realizes that she possesses the healing powers. She starts healing people in her community and it is ironical that she secluded herself after knowing about her powers and her love for a woman at the end is also ironical.
