- Throughout our study of Moby Dick, the instructor may utilize SmartBoard technology to ensure students have a unified collection of notes from which to work.

- On Day 1, students will research the foods typically eaten in 19th-century New England.
- On Day 2, students will research the preparations necessary for a successful whaling voyage.
- On Day 3, students may research modern whaling practices, and compare them to those contemporaneous to Moby Dick.
