Released in 2003, Lost in Translation is a multinational film directed by Sofia Coppola. The film, which is a romantic comedy, has received many positive reviews, and stars acclaimed actor Bill Murray and renowned actress Scarlett Johansson. Murray takes the role of Bob, who leaves for Tokyo, Japan for a photography job. There, he meets Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson), which whom he falls madly in love.

Born in 1971, Sofia Coppola is a director and producer of movies, who debuted with The Virgin Suicides. She also directed the famous films Marie Antoinette, Somewhere, and Lost in Translation. Coppola originally started in the film industry as an actress, but turned to directing after she was criticized due the fact that her relatives were also in the industry, and because she received negative reviews for her movies.
