Unnamed boy
He is the main protagonist of the story. This character is shown to be bored and twiddling his fingers trying to make his mind up about what he should do, and names them as different ‘hunches’. He is easily led by them and changes his mind very frequently.
Hunches
The hunches are possible ideas or activities that the young boy can embark on, but they take on a physical appearance to differentiate themselves. For example. The Happy Hunch encourage shim to play outside whereas the Homework Hunch tries to convince the boy to stay inside and finish his work.
