Evil Dead 2 Characters

Evil Dead 2 Character List

Ash Williams

He's the protagonist and soul survivor of this horrific affair. He begins the action by inviting his girlfriend, Linda, on a romantic weekend at a cabin. At some point becoming possessed, he finds that his loving memories of Linda reattach him to reality. He's a surprisingly resourceful fighter.

Linda Williams

Ash's girlfriend is possessed right from the beginning. Although her head is sliced off, she continues to torment Ash using clever tricks which coordinate between her disembodied head and her actual body. She's eventually sliced to bits by a chainsaw.

Annie Knowby

She's Professor Knowby's daughter. Intent on realizing her inheritance in the cabin, she initially views Ash as a competitor. As time passes, however, she chooses to trust him. She sacrifices herself in order to recite the incantation which finally saves Ash.

Professor Knowby

He first found The Book of the Dead, but it proved his worst nightmare. He is the original owner of the cabin and, apparently, his soul still resides there. Only his floating, ghostly head still remains.

Jake

Jake and his girlfriend stop by the cabin out of curiosity. He's completely unprepared to face the horrors within and is stabbed by Annie by accident. He survives the wound only to be devoured by Henrietta.

Bobby Joe

She's Jake's girlfriend. She demonstrates a complete lack of loyalty during her time onscreen. Eventually abandoning the others, she tries to escape through the woods, but the woods themselves devour her.

Henrietta

Henrietta is actually Annie's deceased mother. She became possessed by the demonite spirit in the cabin and remained there ever since. With Annie and the professor's arrival, she desperately tries to kill her daughter in order to bring them into the afterlife with her. In the end she's killed by Ash.

Professor Ed Getley

He's Annie's boyfriend and also works with Professor Knowby. He becomes possessed by Henrietta at the very beginning, meeting his death at Ash's hand.
