Adam Ewing
In 1849, Adam is a slaver trader who abandons his father-in-law’s trade after becoming friends with one of the slaves, Autua. Together with his wife Tilda, Adam makes it his mission to destroy his father-in-law’s business. Adam later appears in the year 2144 as Hae-Joo Chang, a freedom fighter who leaps into action to save Somni-451 and inspires her to join in fighting clones. Adam finally appears in 2321 as himself and brother to Zachry.
Tilda Ewing
Tilda starts in 1849 as Adam’s wife and an abolitionist who tries to destroy her father’s slave trade business. Tilda then reappears as a Mexican woman who saves her friends from Bill Smoke, a gun-happy criminal. Tilda makes her last appearance in 2144 as Somni-451 a clone who becomes a religious activist and icon.
Rufus Sixsmith
Rufus makes his first debut in 1936. He falls in love with Robert Frobisher, a dramatic composer. Rufus later appears in 1973 as old Rufus and tries to warn the world of a faulty nuclear power plant. He later reappears in 2012 as Nurse James who helps the deranged Nurse Noakes. Rufus makes his last appearance in 2144 as an archivist who helps spread Somni-451’s revolutionary message.
Captain Molyneux
Molyneux makes his first appearance as a cruel captain who abuses his cabin boy. He then appears in 1936 as the hypocritical Vyvyan Ayrs who attempts to rob Robert Frobisher’s masterwork. In 2144, he makes an appearance as an artist performing in the streets of Neo Seoul. In 2321, he makes his last appearance as a prescient seeking a world rid of humankind.
Dr. Goose
Dr. Goose makes his debut as the deceitful doctor who tries to kill Adam Ewing for his gold. In 1936, he reappears as a hotel manager who tries to steal Rufus Sixsmith's waistcoat from Robert Frobisher. In 2144, he appears as Zachry who saves his niece from cannibals.
