Why did Sam finally manage to die, and thus stop reliving the last day of her life?

Sam manages to die because she finally becomes a better person. In the beginning, Sam was a bad person who hurt and bullied Juliet Sykes. This leads to her wanting to kill herself. Sam dies in the crash but is forced to relive the day. After several days, Samantha has tried most possible thinkable ways to relive the day, sometimes acting crazy and out of character. In the end, she feels pity and pushes Juliet out of the way, hereby killing herself and saving Juliet. She manages to redeem herself, allowing herself to die on final time.

What does the flash mean before Sam dies?

The first time Sam dies, she sees herself the first time she bullied Juliet and all the bad things she did before her death. As she continues dying, her visions don’t change. Until the last day, as she dies one final time, she sees all the good deeds she has had. That is what’s special, and the only thing that changed before she could pass on. Life decided that she wouldn’t be permitted to leave this earth before she became a good person, which she did in the end.

Why did Lindsay hate Juliet?

Lindsay hates Juliet because of an incident that happened a long time ago. Once, when they were a lot younger, Juliet and Lindsay were best friends. That all changed at a camp in fifth grade. Lindsay wet her bed one night and was scared to be bullied because of it. Therefore, she decided to frame Juliet for it, and told everyone that Juliet had wet her bed. Lindsay stopped hanging with Juliet, and she became her main victim of bullying.
