Although Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie writes using the third-person limited perspective, she switches her point of view between Ifemelu and Obinze. Ask students to list other characters who have a significant impact on the story: Kosi, for instance, or Blaine, or Shan, or Ranyinudo.
