A Crown of Swords is a fantasy novel written by American author Robert Jordan, and was first published by Tor Books on May 15, 1996. The book is the seventh in his Wheel of Time series and was preceded by Lord of Chaos (1994).

The book follows on from the previous novel, with Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn, attempting to stop Cairhien rebellion in order to take control over Illian. Simultaneously, Elayne Trakand and her crew are searching for the ter'angreal, the Bowl of the Winds, in order to stop the Dark One.

The book was extremely well received with SFX stating that it was “A fantasy phenomenon ” and famed author, George R. R. Martin, stating that "[The] huge ambitious Wheel of Time series helped redefine the genre" of fantasy books.
