The film begins with the main protagonist, voice actress, Pepa Marcos, feeling depressed after breaking up with her boyfriend, Ivan. He asks her to pack his belonging in a suitcase.
She is soon visited by Ivan’s son, Carlos and his fiancée Marisa, who are apartment-hunting and have scouted Pepa’s penthouse as their top choice. At the same time, Pepa receives frantic messages from her friend Candela, who later visits her and tells her than her ex-boyfriend, an Arab Shiite terrorist, is after her. Pepa decides to help her friend and visits a lawyer, Paulina, under Carlos’ recommendation.
Pepa later learns that the Shiite terrorists are attempting to hijack a plane to Stockholm, a flight that Paulina will be on. She calls Carlos to let him know and he warns Candela. Lucia, Ivan-s ex-girlfriend and Carlos’ mother, returns from the mental hospital where she was recovering, to confront Pepa about where Ivan is. Pepa then learns that Ivan will be on the flight that the terrorists are planning to hijack. At the same time, Lucia is still mentally unstable and wants to seek revenge on Ivan by killing him. Lucia runs to the airport so she can kill him and Pepa chases after her. Pepa manages to save Ivan and when it looks as though they are about to reconcile, but ultimately says that it is too late to be together.
In the end, Pepa returns home alone, where it is revealed that she is pregnant with Ivan’s child.
