Encroachment of animals' habitants

The encroachment of animals' habitats is the first major theme in the novel. The novel opens by showing four helpless wolf cubs stranded after a devastating forest fire. Selfish people who want to use the Redstone Forest start the fire. The impact of the fire is devastating because many animals and tree species are destroyed. The fate of the four wolf cubs' parents is unknown, and the park ranger assumes they are dead.

Sibling love and unity

The four wolf cubs, namely Noble, Tora, Harlan, and Argus, are a close-knit family caring for each other. Tora is the only female in the family, and the three brothers are willing to do anything to protect her. When Dr. Monk captures Tora to experiment with her, the three brothers fight relentlessly to secure her release. Dr. Monk wants to investigate Tora's genes. Initially, Dr. Monk filmed the four siblings transitioning into humans when leaving the forest. However, the three brothers unite to confront Dr. Monk to free their sister.

Love for wild animals

The love for wild animals is illustrated by Garrett Brock's decision to adopt the four wolf cubs stranded in the forest after the devastating fire. Brock's wife jovially receives the four wolf cubs and promises to love them unconditionally, even after discovering they are half-human and half-wolves. Brock and his wife keep this secret because the people around them believe that the four siblings are humans.
