Garrett Brock
Garret Brock is the novel's protagonist, a park ranger by profession. Brock is a kind person who loves fellow humans and animals in equal measure. The role of Brock is to ensure the safety of animals in Redstone Forest Park. Unfortunately, one day the forest suffers from a devastating fire that destroys several animals, trees, and other creatures.
While touring the destroyed forest, Brock comes across four stranded wolf cubs and decides to adopt them. When Brock takes the cubs home, his wife receives them warmly and promises to love them unconditionally. Brock does everything to ensure the four cubs grow into adults, and he often gives them the freedom to go into the forest during the day. After fifteen years, the cubs grow into teens, but their life is endangered when Dr. Monk starts capturing them for experimentation to ascertain their exact genes.
Phyllis
Phyllis is Garrett Brock's wife, and the author depicts her as a loving wife dedicated to supporting her husband in whatever he does. When her husband brings the wolf cubs home, she receives them happily and promises to care for them until they mature. Later, Phyllis discovers that the cubs are half-human and half-wolves. However, she keeps the secret from people and raises the four cubs as humans until they become teens.
Dr. Edward Monk
Dr. Monk is a geneticist, and the author portrays him as a selfish man who wants to gain money and popularity by exposing the identity of the four teens (Wolf cubs). One day, Dr. Monk films Tora and her brothers transforming into humans after leaving the forest. Later, Dr. Monk captures Tora to experiment with her to ascertain her identity. However, Tora's brothers fight relentlessly to secure her freedom.
Noble Brock
Noble is the eldest of his cub siblings. Noble is protective, caring, and concerned. Whenever the siblings walk around, Noble keeps an eye to ensure they are safe from intruders or any other person with ill motives.
Argus Brock
Argus is the second born after Noble. Argues is the strongest among his siblings because he is muscular, fearless, and optimistic. Argus is the most talkative and entertaining.
Tora Brock
Tora is the third born and most famous in school. Tora is the only sister, and everyone loves her. Tora is the one who is kidnapped by Dr. Monk when she transforms into a wolf. Dr. Monk wants to take her to the lab to investigate her genes, but her brothers rescue her.
Harlan Brock
Harlan is the last born in the family. Harlan is fearless and does not want his siblings to protect him because he believes he is strong enough to care for himself.
