Begin this activity by showing students one or two Thug Notes videos. Then, have a discussion using some or all of the following questions:
· Why do you think the creators decided to create thug-themed literary analysis?
· Who is Thug Notes for?
· What is appealing about Thug Notes?
· Is Thug Notes disrespectful or an example of cultural appropriation? Why or why not?
· What would you change, if anything, about the Thug Notes video...
