Students will adopt the characteristics of Dahl’s stories into their own creation.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.3

Structure:

In the final activity, students will create an interactive story that incorporates some themes and/or tone of Dahl’s stories. This activity is preparation for that.

To begin the activity, ask students to do a Think Pair Share. Ask students: what are the essential elements of a story? Students should think about this and then discuss with a partner.
