Banned Books Activity

Collaborative Writing

Objective:

Students will analyze the text in connection with the concept of banned books.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.2

Structure:

Before this activity, and give students some articles to read about banned books and the process of banning books. Consider getting students a list of books that have historically been banned in your area or nationally and instructing them to check if they have read any of the books on the list.
