    Students will analyze MLK's Letter from a Birmingham Jail and connect it to "The Help" and to present day.

    Structure:

    Dr. King's Letter from a Birmingham Jail is one of the most well known texts from the civil rights movement. Written in response to criticism about his timings and methods, it is a defense of nonviolent resistance and a defining part of King's legacy.
