grievance

An official complaint lodged against an entity with authority.

comparatively

Bearing a moderate resembance to something else, but failing as an exactly replication.

suitors

Admirers declaring serious romantic intentions.

disoriented

A state of confusion in which all normal expectations are confounded.

asinine

Foolish and stupid to the point of being witless enough to have one's entire intellectual capacity called into question.

crestfallen

Disconsolate and discourage as the result of an emotional letdown stemming from disappointment.

buoyancy

A lighthearted state of optimistic good cheer.

obnoxious

Rude and offensive; unbearably overbearing.

calculating

Descriptive of a person who is scheming, devious and cunning in their devotion to getting the result they desire.

unabashedly

Done in a flagrant manner with a lack of shame or guilt or attempt at concealment.

dashing

Possessed of a flair for the flamboyant with a tendency toward a dapper wardrobe and roguish attitude.

unassuming

Modest, humber and unassertive.

fawning

A display of servile, overly deferential behavior verging on submission; sycophantic; the most extreme exhibition of flattery for the same of getting something in return.

rambunctious

High-spirited and lively with a tendency to veer into the realm of the rowdy.

flogging

Corporal punishment by being dealt a series of blows with a whip or an instrument of similar design and intent.

Prince consort

The husband of a reigning female monarch who is not himself a king through royal lineage.
