Objective:

Students will be able to evaluate Hegel's Ideas (and basic philosophy), and the explain Camus' use of the symbol in his story

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.11-12.1.B

Structure:

Depending on what fits the size and level of your class best, break the class into several small groups, or into two groups. The important thing is that there will be two groups of students to act out and debate the merits of the argument versus Daru and Balducci.

One group of students will represent Balducci and the point of view of the French; the other group will represent the Daru's point of view.
