The Fifth Element Symbols, Allegory and Motifs

The fifth element (Symbol)

The fifth element is the main symbol of the story; it is a power strong enough to combine the strength of the four elements of nature and direct it against evil. And this power is love. The fifth element stands as a symbol of love, of feeling that has no boundaries, no clear explanations, but still is exists. And through thousands of years it will stay as the most important thing worthy to fight for.

Stones (Symbol)

Four stones stand as the symbols for four elements of nature: water, wind, fire, and soil. Combined together they possess great power. It is not accidental that in the time of such modernized technologies and possibilities humanity once again has to turn to nature for help. It reminds people that machines cannot provide protection, it is nature that always has been the source of power, as it exists forever. And only things that exist forever, like nature and love, are of major significance. All the rest is not everlasting.
