Spinoza as the narrator
Spinoza leads the book by stating that God is the natural world, rather than an entity existing out of it because “there cannot exist in the universe two or more substances having the same nature or attribute.”He uses the Ontological Argument to argue the notion that God has infinite attributes because “besides God no substance can be granted or conceived”and therefore, we as humans, are dependent on God.
God
God is referenced multiple times in this work. God is considered to be a part of this very world, and not some separate universe, according to Spinoza. All our actions and thoughts are predetermined by God as He is considered to be one with all nature. Indeed, God is so present in our lives that "the laws of nature or are ordered by the decree and direction of God" only.
