    The author has used several literary elements; one of the outstanding being personification, in which the sky and the wind have been incarnated as human beings. The author writes, "The wind carried lashings of sea spray that stung when they struck, and the sky had grown darker even in the moments of their descent." The coordination of the wind and the sky is like the human capability to achieve a specified objective.

    How does the author depict the sense of sight to readers?

    The author's description of the breeze, flowers, the lake, and the summer sun creates imaginary to enable readers to see the novel's setting. For instance, the author says that the grass and flowers around the lake are green. Consequently, the reader can see the environment where the plot takes place around the lake.

    What is the main irony in the novel?

    Darien and his father are having a difficult time because they have several unresolved issues. Ironically, when Darien gets a perfect opportunity to resolve their differences, he lets him. Jennifer does not intervene, which prompts Darien's father to leave, but later, he reconsiders his decision and returns to have a one-on-one conversation with Darien. Darien's father's return is also ironic because no one expected him to make such a decision.
