Sherman, once regarded as the shining star of Pierce & Pierce, finds himself summoned to his boss Gene Lopwitz's office. Lopwitz, an Anglophile with a penchant for British culture, has gone to great lengths to install a working fireplace on the fiftieth floor of their modern Wall Street office building. Unfortunately, this endeavor has led to a rather painful situation: insects hitched a ride on the imported logs, and Sherman's firm, the head of which is Lopwitz, suffered the consequences.
