Many chapters in this section of reading come across as more like writing from a sentimental romance novel than most of the rest of the book. Between Blue and Kadife’s lover's quarrel, the flirtation between Ka and Ipek when he’s trying to get Turgut out of the hotel so they can make love, and Kadife wanting to go with her father to impress Blue, the focus of many chapters is much more on romance than anything else.
