Students will examine gender roles in Peter Pan

Structure:
The world depicted in Peter Pan is one where gender roles, and societal rules in general, are strictly adhered to. The fates that await Wendy and the Lost Boys are strictly based on their gender. Wendy, even as a child, is expected to serve the boys - cooking for them, darning their socks, and caring for them, even if they are all the same age.
