On the Way to the Wedding is a historical romance novel written by Julia Quinn and is the eighth and last in her Bridgerton Series. The series follows the romantic journey of eight siblings and how they handle British society when it comes to marriage and love. It was published by Avon on 27 June 2006.

The book follows Gregory Bridgerton the youngest male of the Bridgerton family and the most desperate to marry for love. He believes he has found this in the beautiful belle of the season, Miss Hermione Watson. In order to win her hand in marriage, he requests the help of her best friend, the lovely Lady Lucy Abernathy. However, along the way the two begin to develop feelings for each other. But, Lucy is already set to marry someone else and so Gregory must do everything he can to convince her the two belong together.

The series has been adapted into a Netflix series by Shonda Rhimes under the title Bridgerton and was released on December 2020. The show stars Will Tilston as a young Gregory Bridgerton. The book has been received very well, it rising to #7 on the Publishers Weekly bestseller list and #6 on The New York Times bestseller list.
