Light In August Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of Light in August, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

The only Daily Activities that will not require any digital software or hardware are the "Entry/Exit Cards" and "Addressing Racist Stereotypes and Slurs" activities. Every other activity requires either a SmartBoard (or another type of projector) or the use of personal computers by the students. Coordinate with administration or library staff ahead of time to make sure you have what you need to complete the Daily Activities.
