Entry/Exit Cards
Kind of Activity:
Individual Writing
Objective:
Students will create index cards of their individual writing to be collected by the teacher at the beginning and the end of class.

Structure:
When students arrive in class, ask them to answer one of today's Thought Questions on an index card. Allow them to write for about 5-10 minutes. This will be their "Entry Card." Collect the cards and use their answers to jumpstart the lesson.
