Objective:

Students will analyze time travel from a scientific perspective and write their own time travel stories.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.11-12.3

Structure:

In this activity, students will gain an understanding of how time travel works from a scientific point of view and analyze the specific time travel mechanisms in Kindred.

To begin the activity, ask students whether they think time travel is possible. For the students who believe time travel is possible, ask what might be the best way to do it. Students might suggest a time machine or teleportation (which is similar to Dana’s method).
