    The Inheritance

    Objective:

    Students will be able to understand character development due to changes in circumstance

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.11-12.3, CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.11-12.3

    Structure:

    The inheritance changes the outlook and circumstances of the Boyles, including how they remember their history. The Boyles immediately buy more expensive goods to replace the worn-down items in their homes, and they also engage in revisionism, changing their view of their own history to match their more prosperous present.
