Describe Ramona. How is she similar or different from Madeline? Do you share Herzog’s opinion of her?
Herzog frames Ramona as intelligent, but far more sensual than the academic Madeline, especially after the latter converted to Christianity. Furthermore, she wants to marry Herzog, which some students might consider enough to make her a worthy partner to him. However, others might argue that Herzog is being wise by staying away from a woman who wants to marry him, given his relationship troubles.
