"Feminist Manifesto" and Other Texts Symbols, Allegory and Motifs

Feminism (motif)

From the very title of the essay it is clear what it is about. The main direction of it is feminist and its motif helps to develop and better understand the very feministic movement. Feminism in Mina Loy’s understanding is not a theoretical valuation of female, but a constant search for individuality within the nature of women. To become really feminine, a woman should not search for its essence anywhere but within herself.

Maternity (symbol)

Presumably, maternity is the greatest gist of life any woman is destined to retain, and it becomes a symbol of the vary femininity and womanhood. Maternity is the only thing that fully and completely belongs to women; it is where they can realize themselves without any outer influence. But Mina Loy is sure that a woman should never put herself into the boundaries of maternity and always seek for more spheres for personal realization.
