    Other Characters' Perspectives

    Kind of Activity:

    Creative Writing

    Objective:

    Flesh-out the perspective of one of the many non-POV characters in the novel.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.3

    Structure:

    In Ender's Game, we mostly get Ender's take on events (and sometimes Valentine's, and a little bit of Graff's). But the novel is full of diverse characters with differing viewpoints, backgrounds and personalities. Students should imagine what it might be like to be one of the other characters in the novel, and write a piece of short fiction from that character's perspective.
