The paradox of Memphis Adoption Organization
When the reader first comes across the adoption agency, he thinks that it intends to help homeless children find new homes and families. Ironically, the organization steals children from their families and sells them. Memphis Adoption Organization is a profit milling organization involved in the illegal adoption and sale of innocent children to different families. Making matters worse, the agency is cruel because it enslaves the children who have not been sold.
The irony of love
The romantic relationship between Avery and Trent is ironic. Both Trent and Avery come from affluent families, but Avery has a secret mission of discovering the illegal child adoption that took place in the past at Memphis Adoption Organization. When Avery approaches Trent to give her papers that could help her uncover the mysteries of the adoption, he refuses. After Avery investigates and discovers that Judy and May are biological twins, she reunites them. After her successful investigation, Avery starts a romantic relationship with Trent, who refused to give her papers that could have helped her during the investigation.
The irony of government leaders
The government is the first institution that should ensure the rights of children are protected. Every child has a right to good health, education, and shelter among other essential needs. The government has set systems to protect the interest and rights of all citizens, including children. Ironically, the leaders are corrupt and they allow the illegal business of stealing and selling children to flourish. For instance, the agencies of children adoption masquerade as child-saving centers, but behind the scenes, they are involved in stealing and selling children.
