Carnage of War

As Brienne and Jamie leave for their respective travels they come across several villages that had been looted and burned with bodies strewn all around. Several important landmarks had been destroyed. As Brienne learns that gravediggers from the Faith had been busy digging nameless graves. Jamie intends to provide Genna Lannister with some random bones instead of her son, as bones were available in abundance at that point.

The House of Black and White:

The House of Black and White is described as a huge temple with alcoves along walls having many death God's of different religions. They are considered to be same, although called by different names. Arya finds the environment foreboding with the presence of a fountain of poison in the centre of temple. The doors to the temple are painted black and white, which is also the color of robes that the priest wear, symbolizing life and death.

The Vale of Arryn

The kingdom of Vale is situated in mountains and boasts of vantage point for any oncoming armies. Eyrie, the high seat of Arryn is considered to be impregnable due to it's location. Given the location and the fact that no one can enter without being apprehended makes Sansa feel safe.

Dorne

Dorne is the southern-most part of Westeros and is the hottest. It is primarily a desert and surviving here is difficult. Journeys to remote locations are made in nights to avoid heatstroke and death by dehydration.
