A Court of Thorns and Roses Irony

A Court of Thorns and Roses Irony

Tamil’s humaneness

The first time Feyre meets Tamlin, she describes him as a horrible creature. In addition, Feyre fears faeries because they are dangerous and inhumane. Ironically, when Tamlin captures Feyre and takes her to the Spring Court, he treats her with love and protects her from harm. Therefore, Tamlin acts contrary to the expectations of other faeries and humans in the mortal kingdom.

Feyre’s victory over Queen Amarantha

Queen Amarantha is the most cruel and feared leader in all realms. When Queen Amarantha and her army capture Tamlin, the residents of the Spring Court surrender because they know they cannot defeat the evil queen. Ironically, Feyre and her team defeat Queen Amarantha and rescue Tamlin. No one ever thought Feyre could pass three dangerous trials to rescue Tamlin.

The Paradox of Rhysand

Rhysand is one of the High Lords in the Kingdom of Prythian, under the evil Queen Amarantha. Rhysand is a dangerous, cruel and vengeful leader. Ironically, Rhysand does not like how Fairies treat humans and other enemies. Rhysand is a contradictory character because he treats Feyre with love and care, which contradicts the expectations of his subjects in the kingdom.
