Zeitoun Lesson Plan

If all of the elements of this lesson plan are employed, students will develop the following powers, skills, and understanding:

   Students will be able to identify the various forces at play that led to the unprecedented destruction and suffering resulting from Hurricane Katrina.

   Students will be able to recognize the various injustices that Zeitoun experienced and identify some of the underlying causes of these injustices.
