Objective:

In this activity, students will use their own personal histories to write a narrative describing a difficult event in their lives.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.3

Structure:

Part 1:

Students should choose a difficult moment in their lives. This can be similar to Zeitoun (something life-threatening) or something emotionally difficult. If students prefer, they can choose a difficult moment in the life of a family member or loved one. Then, students should identify the choices that had to be made during this time.
